Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibility:
Will be analyzing production flow, data and processes for improvements and documentation; investigating manufacturing problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action; trouble shooting and recommending repair on production equipment; and designing tools and fixtures needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to production specifications. Plan and implement projects related to the operation of the plant and facility.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Minimum two years’ relevant experience in a high production chip cutting environment including project management.

• Previous safety background a plus including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Regional Sales, Non-Commission – Japan, Asia, Oceania

Non-Commission

We are seeking an organized, detailed, and self-disciplined individual to work directly with McGard’s Japan sales office to provide technical sales support and sales calls on Original Equipment (O.E.) accounts in Asia including Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc. This position is located at our Orchard Park, NY headquarters.

Requirements Include:
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Prior sales experience preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.

• Demonstrated problem solving ability.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Outlook email and Internet.

• Clean, valid driver’s license required.

• Passport required for the ability to travel internationally, which may include Asia two or three times annually. Must be able to travel by planes, trains, and automobiles.

• Must adhere to proper attire required in country visiting.

• The following skills are a plus: mechanical, math, and accounting aptitude and knowledgeable about the auto industry.

Process Engineer

1st Shift, 6:30AM – 3:00PM; Monday – Friday
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

Responsibility:
• Manage technical aspects of McGard/L. D. McCauley manufacturing, sorting, and assembly processes.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Industrial (BSIE), Mechanical (BSME).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in cross functional team setting, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively manage projects; project goals, known constraints, cost goals and due dates.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• LEAN, Value Stream Mapping, APQP, Gage R&R, PFMEA, experience.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to conduct Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Possess statistical skills.
• Three (3) plus years’ experience in similar role.
• Experience with Minitab.

Custodian

2nd Shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM; Monday – Friday)
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

Responsibility:
• Keeps premises of office and production work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent with working knowledge of various cleaning techniques such as stripping and waxing vinyl floors.

• Minimum of one month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous custodian/janitorial experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

• Excellent time management.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.

• Ability to interact with a diverse workforce across organizational levels.

• Ability to use basic cleaning (chemical) products safely.

Physical Demands:
• Regularly required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

• Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.

Maintenance Worker

2nd Shift (3:00PM - 12:30AM; Monday – Friday)
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

Responsibility:
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties

Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Three to five years related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must possess a high degree of mechanical ability and a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills.

• Able to communicate effectively in English both written & orally.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Mill Machine Operator - Multiple Shifts 

Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

Responsibility: Set up and operate machines to mill surfaces on metal. Given proper training, able to run a fork truck. We are seeking talented individuals who have a positive attitude; strong work ethic and interpersonal skills; and are detail oriented.

Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent.

• Strong math and mechanical aptitude.

• Able to read and interpret “G” code a plus.

• Able to read and interpret blueprints.

• Understand and execute routine written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

• Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally.

• Past CNC milling experience a plus!

Programmer Analyst

Summary of Position:
Will be responsible for writing, updating, and maintaining computer programs including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs. The Iseries RPG Programmer Analyst must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, and be willing to jump in on projects when needed.

Required Skills:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent and/or related experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience using RPG Free and/or RPG IV.

• Knowledge of SQL, computer hardware and software architecture.

• Familiarity with manufacturing, shop floor, data collections, and/or EDI a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Quality Assurance Calibration Technician

2nd Shift; 3:00PM – 11:30PM (Monday – Friday)
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

OBJECTIVE
• Calibrates and inspects gaging used throughout product processing. Maintains calibration records on all gaging.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedules and calibrates McGard/LDM/TMI McGard owned gages, master gages, and personal owned measuring instruments at prescribed intervals per documented procedures.

• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams/formulas, to arrive at quality/reliability standards.

• Orders new gages and equipment as necessary; Enters new gages into system and sends out gages for repair.

• Perform on measuring gages, reproducibility & repeatability (R&R) study when applicable.

• Repair broken/damaged gages when possible.

• Performs backup assistance for other Quality Assurance Technicians.

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Associate’s Degree preferred.

• Three (3) years related Quality Assurance experience.

Design Engineer

(Monday – Friday; 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)

Ability to work overtime and a flexible schedule depending on project demands.

McGard is looking for a Design Engineer to help make the world more secure.

RESPONSIBILITY:

All aspects of product development including concept development, patent development, material selection, prototyping, product development, product testing, customer presentation, defining manufacturing process, ensuring successful initial production run, and staying within project budget. Will meet the time constraints provided at the start of the project and shall ensure the new product is launched successfully.

Travel may be required to support projects, to manage customer needs, or assist sales.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• BSME or BSMET or equivalent. Five years’ or more experience as a design engineer a plus.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material & strength analysis, 2D drawing development & 3D modeling.

• Proficient in MS office. Creo 3D modeling experience a plus.

• Strong verbal & written communication skills.

• Ability to effectively manage projects including being driven by known project constraints, due dates, and cost goals; will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Possess a clean & valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May lift, push, pull &/or carry over 50 lbs.

• Capable of traveling and working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Quality Assurance Associate Specialist

6:30AM – 3:00PM (Monday – Friday)
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

OBJECTIVE

• Prepares Production Part Approval packages (PPAP) and assists the Quality Planning Process, along with various departments, suppliers, and all other automobile manufacturers. Troubleshooting and problem solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares sample submissions (PPAP/ISIR/NKS).

• Develops and approves process control plans and process flow charts.

• Interprets drawings, diagrams, or formulas to arrive at specified quality and reliability standards.

• Selects products for testing, and tests products for variety of qualities.

• Develops and initiates methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluation.

• Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

• Suggests standards to receive optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products.

• Prepares quarterly/annual Telekom reports

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

• Technical Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

• Three (3) years related Quality Assurance experience.

CNC Lathe Machinist

2nd Shift (3:45PM – 2:15AM) Monday - Thursday
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

Responsibility:

Set up and operate multiple axis CNC Lathe machines.

Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Minimum two year's CNC experience with G-code. Siemens and/or FANUC experience helpful.

• Able to read and interpret blueprints.

• Previous experience using gages and measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.

• Understand and execute routine written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

• Possess strong math aptitude including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, and decimals.

• Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally.
